Tom Luikens, Founder

Tom is the owner of Fossil in Houston, Texas. He has 35 years of management and fabrication experience in  the trade show industry. His reputation represents a consistent, quality minded leader who improves processes by applying sound business judgment while achieving bottom line results. Prior to starting Fossil, he was employed by Freeman Decorating Services for 9 years as the Operations Manager and more recently the Director of Production. He was instrumental in the success of the Freeman's Fabrication and Design facility in Houston that included managing the trade show program for major corporate accounts.

While at Freeman, he was selected to attend the prestigious Freeman College of Management. Prior to that, he owned and operated a successful Houston exhibit house, Omnigroup, Inc., for 23 years. He attended Texas A&M and graduated with a degree in Industrial Education from Southwest Texas University in 1972.

Cherie Quentin

Cherie joined Fossil as an Account Executive in August, 2009. She has 7 years of account and sales management in the trade show industry. Cherie was most recently employed by Freeman Decorating Services as Director of Exhibitor Sales. Prior to joining Freeman, she was on the client side of the exhibit industry as a Trade Show Manager. Since graduating from Nicholls State University in Louisiana with a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing, she has held various marketing positions which utilized her creative and organizational skills.

Her perspective from the client side and the skills and knowledge she has acquired from her industry experience, give her tremendous insight into the trade show needs of clients and a focus on meeting those needs.

Madolyn Murdock

Madolyn's background in displays and trade shows spans almost 40 years. She began her career creating architectural graphics and displays for Houston home builders and in 1982 moved to the faster pace of the trade show industry with Tom Luikens at Omnigroup. Teaming with the marketing departments of Fortune 500 companies, she has handled coordination and ROI measurement of their trade show programs throughout the U.S. and internationally.

In addition she has managed winning teams at branch offices for other mid-sized exhibit design and fabrication companies as well as the largest trade show general contractor in the nation. Her meticulous attention to detail balanced with a creative design eye has earned Madolyn a reputation for exceptional service and creating successful 3D selling environments for her clients.

Kevin Murphy

Kevin joined Fossil Exhibits as an Account Representative on November 1, 2009. Kevin has 33 years experience in the trade show industry ranging from owning and managing an exhibit company handling fabrication and I&D labor services to account and sales management.

Kevin has received several custom-build exhibit awards which were earned based on his commitment and dedication to managing the project – from concept to design, fabrication to delivering a quality product to his clients.

Kevin’s reputation represents integrity, knowledge of the exhibit industry and experience as an Account Representative. His passion, for the exceptional job he does for his clients, is simply based on good old-fashion customer service.

Martin Martinez

Martin’s early career experience as a fabricator gave him the understanding of construction techniques that has made him an excellent Project Manager.  He joined Fossil in 2012 after 17 years with Freeman Exhibit Company where he used his carpentry skills combined with his organizational capabilities to manage the exhibit construction and event logistics for extensive trade show marketing programs for clients such as Qualcomm, Saudi Aramco, Halliburton, Landmark, and Franke. 

Martin successfully handles the many details associated with the success of our client’s events including oversight of the construction, shipping, and services as well as graphic production both domestic and internationally.

Nathan Dean

Nathan has over 16 years of trade show experience as a fabricator, show site supervisor and most recently shop forman.  He joined the Fossil team in 2010 helped organize the fabrication department as Shop Foreman. 

Nathan's dedication and hard work has helped him grow within the trade show industry, resulting in his promotion to Project Manager in 2014.  This will allow Fossil to best utilize his organizational talents, his knowledge of exhibit fabrication and the show floor to coordinate every aspect of his client's projects.

Roland Benavides

With a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a concentration in Architecture, Roland began his career in the trade show industry in San Antonio in 1989.  During his first years in the industry he learned all aspects of producing a successful exhibit from design to installation.  He started at OmniGroup in 1991 as a designer where his work was recognized in Exhibitor Magazine and won BMA Lantern and AMA Crystal Awards. 

In 2003 Roland joined Freeman where in addition to exhibit designs he expanded his trade show knowledge working with the Expo Sales team to provide designs for the Associations.  In 2012 he joined Fossil and is once again providing unique and creative designs for exhibitors.  

Ralph Perales

With 29 years of trade show industry experience and client relations management, Ralph's career has spanned many jobs, projects and titles.  He got his start as an exhibit fabricator and progressed to Project manager for various Fortune 500 companies including all aspects of both domestic and international exhibits. 

Ralph's customer relation management skills have allowed him to be an integral part of his client's project team and work with them from concept, design, and thru execution of the event.  

Laura Ryan-Floyd

“The exhibit business is in my blood.”  Laura Ryan-Floyd literally grew up in the exhibit industry working in her family’s exhibit business in Virginia.  After moving to Houston in 1998 she became central to the trade show community where she has developed and managed many national accounts and volunteered with industry organizations and causes dear to her heart. 

Laura has served on the Board of Directors of the Business Marketing Association of Houston for nine years and as President in 2007.  She has received numerous industry and customer service awards including the 2011 BMA Lifetime Achievement Award. 

Dorianna Burleson

Dori's experience has covered all phases of interaction with exhibitors from office to the show floor.  She has demonstrated her meticulous attention to detail from assisting in accounting and inventory control to the documentation for domestic and international shipping. 

She moved to Fossil Exhibits in 2014 and she works with clients, Account Executives, and Project Managers to make sure that every detail of projects for our clients is documented and communicated to the entire project team to ensure smooth execution of the job.

Stacie Vrecenar

Stacie joined Fossil Exhibits in 2009 and helped implement their accounting practices and systems.  

She came to Fossil from Freeman where she served as Accounting Manager and Office Manager and gained extensive knowledge of the trade show industry during those nine years. Prior to 2000 she had worked in a manufacturing company in various roles including Office Manager and benefits admministration.

In 2014 Stacie became Fossil's Accounting Manager and oversees all accounting as well as HR duties. 

Mike Stephen

Mike's career started with years of accounting and administration experience before coming to the U.S. and finding a passion for building.  For 18 years he worked as a fabricator in both cabinets and then exhibits for the trade show industry and has always focused on quality in his work.  He has traveled extensively with clients to insure a smooth set up.  Mike started with Fossil in 2014 as Shop Foreman.  

Whether in the shop or on the trade show floor, Mike has a reputation for always getting the job done.
